Stretch Chair
The chair shows both traditional woodworking and the use of innovative recycled material It is a balance of uncertainty and certainty, the massive legs suggest confidence, while the suspended seat shows the opposit, yet the design of the structure is sturdy, with every detail made to pop.
Although the industry has been making chairs for a long time it is still rare to find a piece that conveys deeper emotions. The appearance of the pulling forces experienced in our current world can also be seen in the form of seating: the surface stretches under the weight on it as well as the thickening of the backrest, which can be considered an ergonomic solution. The legs of the chair are made of solid ash wood. The steam-bent armrest is made of one piece of wood, which widens in the middle to provide ergonomic support for the back. The shape of all parts is simple to optimize mass production. The structure takes a completely different approach, rethinking the basic form of the chair, yet keeping it visually. The seat is made from recycled PET bottles. Its attachment is simple, it rests on the armrest, making it easy to change to get a new color combination.
